Summer Pool Events at Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool in Palm Coast ~ 2017

The City of Palm Coast’s Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool is located at 339 Parkview Drive, off Belle Terre Parkway. 

Summer hours will be noon to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. weekdays.

Mark your calendars for these summer activities at Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool:

Aqua Zumba – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9-10 a.m. Session 1 is May 30-June 22; Session 2 is July 11-Aug. 3. This program blends Zumba and water resistance in a work out that’s fun for everyone. $40 per session or $8 per class drop-in.

Swim Fitness Challenge – Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 31-Aug. 25, 4-7:15 p.m. Improve your overall fitness! Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers. Challenges will vary depending on participant’s endurance and dedication. Lap lanes will be available. Free program with paid pool admission.

Stroke Correction Clinic – Saturdays, June 3-Aug. 26, 9-10 a.m. This intensive swim program for youth ages 10-17 is designed to improve stroke technique, efficiency and overall fitness. All four strokes will be taught throughout the session. $60 fee.

American Red Cross Whale Tales Water Safety Class – Mondays, June 12, July 10 and Aug. 14, 11:15 a.m.-noon. This once-a-month program is taught to raise awareness of safe behavior in, on and around the water. The program is for young children ages 3-5, and is free.

Social Media Day – Saturday, June 17. Noon-6 p.m. Like or follow the City of Palm Coast on Facebook or Twitter and receive $1 admission.

World’s Largest Swim Lesson – Thursday, June 22, 10 a.m., with registration at 9:30 a.m. Join thousands of swimmers across the world for a swimming lesson aimed at preventing childhood drowning. Free admission.

Dive-In Movies – Friday, June 23, 8 p.m. (Movie starts at 8:30 p.m.) Enjoy the most recent hit Disney film, “Moana,” on the big screen while floating around in the pool. $1 admission. Dive-In Movie will also be held July 21 featuring the movie, “Sing.”

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Class – June 30-July 2, Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. Fee $220. Deadline to register is June 19:

Fun on the Fourth – Tuesday, July 4, noon-6 p.m. Wear red, white or blue to the pool for $1 admission.

Kids/Teen Splash and Dash—Saturday, July 8, 8 a.m. Non-competitive swim and run event. All participants receive prizes for finishing race. $10 fee.

Member Appreciation Day – Sunday July 30, 8-10 p.m. This is an after-hours party for pool members and their families. Free, but open only to pool members. Membership info is available at:
