"Timucuan Pyrotechnology" ~ an Archaeology Program for Homeschoolers in Palm Coast

Homeschooling families with children ages 5 and older are invited to take advantage of this opportunity to learn abut the Timucuan Indians, a now extinct tribe who once inhabited central and northeast Florida. This program introduces Timucuan culture, focusing on the ways that local prehistoric people used fire to meet their daily needs. A hands-on experiment provides a bang as students use balloons (and water balloons) to explore how people could cook prior to the advent of pottery.
