Nature Loving Kids and Teens presents "What is that tree I see?"

Do you often wonder what kinds of trees are towering above you as you walk through the woods?

Kids can explore the wonderful world of trees at the next Nature Loving Kids & Teens workshop, "What is that tree I see?" The environment-themed program offered by Palm Coast Parks & Recreation starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14.

It's free and open to children 6 and older. The one-hour workshop will include a leisurely hike, plus indoor educational activities such as art, music, stories and imaginary play. The group will meet at the Linear Park classroom, 18 Greenway Court off of Colbert Lane, Palm Coast.

It's free, but pre-registration is required by 9 a.m. March 12 online or at the Palm Coast Community Center. Parents are asked to remain at the park during the workshop.

The series will continue in April with "Leaf it to Me," focusing on leaves and their changing colors. That program is set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, and registration is also open for that free program.
