Learn How To Geocache

A few months ago I did a post on Geocaching.  Saturday, August 31st from 10a-11a you can learn to geocache at Washington Oaks State Park. 

Have you heard all the buzz about geocaching and are wondering what it is all about?  This program is the perfect introduction to the world of geocaching.  Join Park Services Specialist, Melissa Clauson, for this one hour program on using your GPS or cell phone to locate geocaches at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park!

 Reservations are required for this program and participants must bring their own device.  

If using a cell phone it is recommended to download the Florida State Park Pocket Ranger App before the program.  During the program we will walk approximately one mile and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes.

 This program will meet at the Bella Vista Trail Parking lot. Participants may wish to bring cameras, water, sunscreen, and bug repellant for the event.
