Pack the Pool to Honor Our Military

In honor of Memorial Day, the City of Palm Coast if offering two events. 

Palm Coast Memorial Day Ceremony - Monday, May 27, 8 a.m. Join the City of Palm Coast for a moving ceremony to remember the men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military; at Heroes Park, 2860 Palm Coast Parkway. Free.

Guest speakers will be U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, Commander Lorenzo J. Nacci of Palm Coast Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8696, and Palm Coast Mayor Jon Netts.

The presentation of colors will be done by Ancient City Pipes and Drums and the Palm Coast Fire Department Honor Guard. The Matanzas High School Marching Band will perform the Star-Spangled Banner, and Ancient City Pipes and Drums will play Amazing Grace.

A Memorial Wreath presentation will be done by Palm Coast VFW Post No. 8696, Commander Nacci; Marine Corps League Detachment No. 867, Commandant Jack Marshall; and Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter No. 808, Commander Rick Look.

Marine Corps League Detachment No. 867 will conduct a three-volley salute, and Taps will be played by VFW Post No. 8696. The Community Chorus of Palm Coast will offer a musical tribute featuring God Bless America and Blades of Grass and Pure White Stones.
